This little guy found itself over the tennis court fence while my fellow IT team and I played tennis earlier today.  Suddenly, it managed to land on my desk soon after.  What exactly does it want to tell me? Hmmm...

Now that Alexa has officially moved into my house, I am having all kinds of fun telling Echo Dot to share the following skills:
  • Meowing to the cat (arguably the most useless and annoying skill of all)
  • Playing Jeopardy, Deal or No Deal, and Three Questions
  • Listening to Prince, Natasha Bedingfield, and Hawaiian music via Spotify
  • Learning about who won the Wimbledon singles finals
  • Adding Red Moscato to my weekly shopping list
  • Researching to learn more about Chris Hardwick, a new America's Got Talent judge
  • Getting words of inspiration during my Sunday Power workout
Things just got way too real around here.

During our annual family fireworks display last night, we managed to capture some magical DSLR slow-shutter images, sparkler-style.  And despite all of the warnings against handling these so-called fiery sticks of doom, we played with fire anyway and had a ton of fun doing so.

Sometimes pictures are just better than words, and this slideshow says almost everything about the latest major milestones experienced in my world over the past couple of months.  From the youngest's high school graduation to a family vacation in Oahu, Hawaii, we have had enough excitement to last us all a lifetime... or at least a few months until the next set of milestones jump out and smack us in the face.

Not wanting to get caught up in holiday crowds, my guys (Hubbie & son) started Mother's Day early by taking me to lunch on Saturday at Olive Garden, a personal favorite restaurant that rarely disappoints.  And not only were we impressed with the usual amazingness of the breadsticks, salad, and entrees, but we were also presented with a perfectly welcome new treat: Ziosk, the tabletop tablet that let us pay without the help of our server, a good thing because we all had better things to do than wait around to pay for our meal.

Now, if only Ziosk could burn off all the extra calories, too... wishful thinking?

Unfortunately, I didn't make the trip because it wasn't my trip to make, but Hubbie trekked over to provide his expertise on a work-related matter and I got all kinds of photo texts out of the deal (aka 'BLOG MATERIAL'.)  So here are the photos I scored:
Best part?  No unpacking for me.
