When Beauty Brands decided to shut down the Village Pointe salon due to bankruptcy and leave my favorite Rock Star Stylist without a job, I crazily worried myself about where and how I'd be obtaining service for my styling needs. But alas... Rock Star Stylist landed a position at a new salon located even closer to my home and even fancier than the previous salon site! So here I am with freshened up highlights and a sharp blunt haircut feeling amazing as ever and ready to take on the world once again.

CRISIS AVERTED.

Feeling feisty to the extreme after submitting 34 job applications to 25 different employers. Also soon to be unrecognizable if this goes on too much longer.

Sensing a tail and fur coat coming on.

Sometimes working in a college marketing department requires an employee to complete other duties, as assigned. This photo is one of those fateful moments!  Yes, this is a picture of the back of my head sporting a graduation cap, one that belongs to an actual CSM graduate since I did not actually earn a degree this time around.  But I am so adding "Graduation Cap Model" to my resume for future photo-taking opportunities, because you just never know when another chance like this will present itself again. *wishful thinking*

Besides that delicious hot breakfast I typically enjoy each Saturday, visiting my ever-talented stylist is yet another enticing reason to drag myself out of bed early on a weekend morning. And Talented Diva Stylist did not disappoint, as usual. So not only did I leave a hefty tip, but I also referred a potential client to her - the Hickory Farms sales clerk whom I encountered while shopping for cheese & summer sausage after my salon appointment. (Because after the Hickory Farms clerk complimented my 'do and asked who styled my hair, she confessed to a potential breakup with her current stylist. Coincidence??? Thinking I just paid it forward there.)

On the final Sunday before the youngest heads off to college making the empty nest complete, this is what happens: SALON DAY FOR MOM.  My Diva Stylist set me up with highlights, lowlights, and a fresh trim all while checking out my Hawaiian vacation photos and luau videos, the perfect way to wrap up an amazing chapter of life.

Let the new adventures begin!
