For lack of anything substantial to post on Halloween, I decided to post a rarely-been-seen image of me visiting the Italian Air Base in which my Dad was the Commander, Ghedi A.B. This photo was taken while I visited Mom & Dad and had the ABSOLUTE TIME OF MY LIFE touring around Italy, the Vatican, and throughout Europe - an experience as effervescent in my brain as trick-or-treating back in the day.

During our annual family fireworks display last night, we managed to capture some magical DSLR slow-shutter images, sparkler-style. And despite all of the warnings against handling these so-called fiery sticks of doom, we played with fire anyway and had a ton of fun doing so.
Oh how I would love to have a burger this fine Fourth of July weekend, preferably one similar to the Juicy Burger I ate in Honolulu at Burgers and Things. Definitely one of the many reasons to return to Hawaii. Meanwhile, perhaps a Swiss Mushroom Burger from Runza will suffice.
Not wanting to get caught up in holiday crowds, my guys (Hubbie & son) started Mother's Day early by taking me to lunch on Saturday at Olive Garden, a personal favorite restaurant that rarely disappoints. And not only were we impressed with the usual amazingness of the breadsticks, salad, and entrees, but we were also presented with a perfectly welcome new treat: Ziosk, the tabletop tablet that let us pay without the help of our server, a good thing because we all had better things to do than wait around to pay for our meal.

Sitting in my church pew alongside family during Easter mass yesterday, I found myself making mental notes about what fellow parishioners had chosen to wear, which was really quite a fascinating treat. Then later in the afternoon during my Sunday power workout I thought, "Heeyyy, blog material - I should post!" So here it is, my list of Easter fashion observations from the pew during mass:
So I am thinking God is all about grand finales? Because... wow. Even my J.Jill Wearever printed Empire-waist maxi dress can't top Fredericks. |
